Since 2005 We Are Photogirls have been running fashion photography workshops in youth clubs, pupil referral units, young offender institutes, special needs units & traveller sites for girls and boys of all ages.
We have a variety of different workshop packages available, and we are also happy to tailor make a workshop plan designed for your project's needs.
Past workshop ideas have included shooting a 'Mutual-Respect Calendar' between teen males & females and a 'Fashion Shoot Battle' between two local youth groups. We recently took We Are Photogirls to New York and gave workshops at Gems Girls in Harlem & Girls Inc. in the Bronx. Both of these charities are built for young women at risk of violence and abuse.
We are also now offering a service giving interactive talks focused around positive self-image for young women.
We bring a wardrobe of clothes & make-up to all our workshops. Our goal is to give the girls/boys practical photography and lighting skills whilst experiencing the fashion photography process from considering locations, styling, and make up to composition, art direction & editing.
All students involved will take away photographs of themselves to keep forever.
Workshops can be designed to meet any budget and time scale. Please feel free to get in touch to request more information.
